OUT OF THE DESK DRAWER.

OUT OF THE DESK DRAWER.   I like quotes.   They are words that have been said by people a whole lot smarter than I am, and sometimes even bad guys say the right things...like this quote:  “Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”    Doesn't that sound really appropriate for our times, when objectivity of the media seems to have flown out the window?   Now here's the part that gets me...this is a quote from the master of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels.
Dear Leader...that would be the imposter-in-chief, keeps telling us that the Southern border is secure.    His underlings repeat those same talking points...however, if you take the time for find out the truth it will shake you down to your shoes.   Here's a starter for you.   ISIS is in Mexico, and running a training camp, supported by the cartels, just 8 miles from the border!    "Coyotes" working for the notorious Juarez Cartel are involved in helping to "move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunset Park, New Mexico."   Moreover, east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed coyotes are smuggling members of the jihadi terrorist group "through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas," Judicial Watch reported.   The group says that these locations were targeted for exploitation by ISIS "because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing."   That's an excerpt from a report by Judicial Watch, and they got it from a Mexican army field grade officer.
I want to scold the government, the administration AND the congress, for not giving the wounded and dead in the Fort Hood shooting, the Purple Heart AND all the benefits and/or any back pay that may have accrued.   First, to call that workplace violence is a lesson in semantics, played out for the single purpose of not damaging the Muslim-in-chief's political progress and legacy.   There is nothing that he does, that is not political and yes, he will put politics above American lives...every time.   His buddy, Mr. Ketchup(aka John Kerry) will sign anything that is put in front of him if he's told to do it...which is a contradiction of his oath of office and to some, like me, could be considered treasonous.   It's time, again, to review that.   Article III, Section 3 — Treason:   The authors were concerned about the definition of treason. They thought that it was used too broadly to define any dissenting opinions. Their new country would be much stricter about what treason was, and how one would be accused and convicted of it.  Treason, then, is defined only as going to war against the USA, or aiding the enemies of the USA. To be convicted, the accused must confess to treason, or be accused by two direct witnesses of the treason.  The authors were also concerned that the person convicted of treason be the only one to suffer for the treasonous acts. The Constitution explicitly states that there may be no "corruption of blood," or that the children and relatives of the traitor not be considered traitorous simply by relation; the "no forfeiture" clause basically means that once the traitor dies, "payment" for the crime ends.
A little over a year ago, it was reported by Kris Zane, writing in Western Journalism and this is some of what he said...Would it surprise you to know there were large contingents of Chinese troops on American soil last year? Not until a video was leaked of Chinese troops training at Fort Shafter, Honolulu, Hawaii did the Obama administration come out with the obvious lie that they were taking part in a “drill.” The drill—dubbed GridExII—simulated the detonation of a massive nuclear warhead high above the skies of the United States, creating a giant EMP that took out the U.S. electrical grid, communications, and banking services.
The Chinese are in fact developing an EMP weapon according to classified documents.   The Chinese have been openly bragging about how their new DF-41 nuclear missile—with a staggering twelve warheads—can cripple the United States in a mere thirty minutes.   These events do not indicate Obama is in collusion with the communist Chinese, planning a takeover of the U.S. But add the fact that Obama is fervently trying to disarm the American public. Add the fact that the Obama administration is buying up billions of rounds of ammunition, leading to a nationwide shortage. Add the fact that Obama has instructed the National Guard to run “drills” deeming Second Amendment supporters as domestic terrorists—one must ask: Is Obama opening up America for a Chinese “Red Dawn” Invasion.
Now, add to that the decimation of the armed forces.   Add to that the newly-discovered operation dubbed Jade Helm 15, and put that together with Agenda 21.   When looked at as a big picture, it's as clear as the nose on your face that "something" is going on...and it's not for the benefit of the United States.   There's just too many coincidental things happening, like a well-planned sequence of events...a line of dominos if you will.   He mentioned, during his initial run for the White House that he wanted a "civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded".    Think about it.

RECENT HEADLINES…AND OTHER STUFF

  RECENT HEADLINES…AND OTHER STUFF.
Recently there was a really unappreciated occurrence at the University of California at Irvine.   Someone, and I don’t know who exactly, complained about flying the flag of the United States.   Really?   Really!   Who are these people that can take umbrage about flying the flag that represents the country in which they live?   The country which, as a matter of fact, guarantees them the right to speak out about the flag, even to the point of burning it…but not flying it sounds to me like it’s just plain wrong.   In what parallel universe are they living, where countless men and women have died to give them the rights that they scorn?   Whoever you are, listen up…you have the right, paid for in blood, to say things, do things, that are against the government…you also have the obligation to back up what you say and do, and you may encounter some other people that have opposite views from yours.   When that happens, be prepared to either put up or shut up…and I’d really like to be there when that happens.   It should be very interesting.  In my youth we stood up in school and pledged allegiance to that flag, and to the republic for which it stands, and whether you utter the words “under God” or not, that’s a personal choice.   If you cannot pledge your allegiance, my words are simply these…love it or leave it.   You think there’s a better country somewhere else, by all means go there…but don’t come back because we don’t need any sniveling, whiney, foolish imitation Americans.   Teddy Roosevelt said it “We can have no '50-50' allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.”
According to TV commercials, which the postal service themselves put out, they are losing 5 billion dollars a year.   I’m not a bit surprised.   With the exception of one man in one postal center, and one man on a route, everyone else with whom I’ve had dealings, has been nonchalant about their job, and that’s putting it mildly.   When I was a boy the man that delivered our mail was pretty much on time, give or take 20 minutes, and he was friendly, and we knew his name.   Now, my mail delivery can take place, if I get any at all, anywhere from about 9 in the morning to 8 at night, and the people change all the time.   Even allowing for inflation, the price of a first-class letter is way over what it should be, when you factor in the service that you’re getting.   Penny postcards went the way of the buggywhip, and the automation doesn’t seem to have been perfected…at least in my case.   I sent a birthday card to someone in the same city and it took 5 days to get there!   Pony Express crossed the bulk of the United States in that same amount of time, over 100 years ago.   If it wasn’t for the fact that first-class mail is mandated to be delivered by the US Postal Service they might as well be shutting down…and maybe it’s time to privatize the whole thing.   Ben Franklin’s Post Office was good, in its day, but I think that day has passed.
Competence has given way to cool…at least that’s the way I see it as we wind down this imposter-in-chief’s time in the White House.   His first election was a social experiment, and it has failed miserably.  If it wasn’t for voter fraud in the second election, I don’t think he would have defeated Romney.  Now, if Romney had won, it’s a pretty good guess that we wouldn’t be in the ghastly situation that we’re in now.   We are no longer feared because we don’t back up what we say we’re going to do, and that’s being couple with announced endings of wars, complete with the drawdown of the armed forces.   Our country, and the government itself, is being infiltrated with people that are sympathetic to the idea of the downfall of the United States…and Mr. Cool is importing them by the thousands.   Illegal aliens are being given documents that are taken at face value as being genuine and they became virtual citizens, and as such will be voting in all elections from city to presidential…and guess for whom they will be voting?   The Democrat party because that’s who got them their virtual citizenship, and they will remember that.   Couple that with a declining birth rate in certain demographics, while other demographics are popping them out like Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn.   Dearborn, Michigan, which now has a majority population of Muslims, can logically be called Dearbornistan, and the state is not going to be far behind when the takeover happens.
Thomas Jefferson, probably one of the great visionaries ever, had a grasp of things that most people back then never even thought about.   “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”   Wake up America…it’s time for some action.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW...AND OTHER MUSINGS

Larry's blog for April 6, 2013  NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW...AND OTHER MUSINGS   We profess, and loudly to anyone that will listen, that we are a nation of laws...but we allow a lawless president to get away with murder, figuratively speaking, of course.   The Congress is entrusted with making the laws, the Supreme Court is supposed to interpret them, and the executive branch is supposed to enforce them.   What we have now is one-man rule, and no dissenting voices that can accomplish anything.   Committees "look at" and "investigate" and "make recommendations"...but nothing is actually done.   High-ranking officials, in many agencies, give the one-finger salute, again, figuratively speaking, when they are cited for contempt, or are issued subpeonas.   Any ordinary citizen, when confronted with a subpeona, complies or faces a fine or jail time...maybe both.   Any ordinary citizen, when confronted with being in contempt of a court, may be fined or put in jail...or both.   Why then, are members of the federal government, it's various bureaucracies and agencies, not paying any attention to these legal summoneses or citations?   Where, in any American document, does it say that we have people who are above the law?   Not in any of the myriad of papers that I've ever read.   Equal justice under law is what is inscribed on the front of the Supreme Court...but do we have it?  No.   Our founding fathers, in their wisdom, put in checks and balances so that no one branch of government, much less one person, could become a dictator.   They fought a war to separate themselves from a king who ruled on whims, and they didn't want that any more.   Through our ignorance and apathy, we, the American people, have given rise to a wannabe king/emperor/dictator...or any other such name as you might want to apply.
My Navy career took me to many countries and even as a "greenie", it was plain to see that the United States was something different, something that the world hadn't seen before.   We had peaceful transitions of power through elections.   We had an industrial force that had, at one time, kept the world free from the Axis domination.   Our people were blended, but able to retain customs of their own backgrounds.   We were, for the most part, both feared and loved, around the world.   People wanted to come here...and they still do because the remnants of "that" America are still around.   For many years, a career in the armed forces of this country was something that could be counted on for some benefits.   If you retired honorably, you could be sure of good medical care, services at various bases could be utilized and, although the Vietnam war changed things somewhat it was still a good thing because you could retire early and make a decent living.
Somewhere along the way, and I'm not sure where, things changed.   Maybe the Vietnam war WAS a bigger change than I thought.   At any rate, through various administrations, the current one being the worst, the armed forces have become a political tool, an embarrassment, and an albatross around the neck.   Plans are now in the works to reduce the armed services to the point where almost any country that could be considered a peer, could take us over.   Teddy Roosevelt was the one I give the credit to for making the world aware of the American giant.   He sent a flotilla of ships around the world, "showing the flag" is what it's called, and the other countries took notice.   Even earlier, when the Barbary pirates were seizing American ships and crews Thomas Jefferson sent US Marines to Tripoli to suppress them...and suppress them he did.
Our military, and the might they represented, could always be counted on...but now, I'm not so sure.   Mid-level officers and non-coms have been fired, leaving what I consider to be a rather ineffective core.   At a time when our potential enemies, some of whom used to be our friends, are soldiering-up, we're cutting back.   That's not a good thing.
My first car was a LaSalle that I bought from a funeral parlor.  It was in excellent condition because it was only used now and then.   The important point to be made here is that when you bought an American automobile, it WAS an American automobile.   It was designed, assembled, and sold by Americans, and most of the time it was the best in its class.   Today, even the Ford products, and I’m a Ford guy, have foreign parts in them.   My 22 year old Ranger truck is still going strong and probably will outlast me.   On any given day, at any hour of the day, watch the highways and you’ll see a parade of cars from Japan, Korea, Germany, some British, and now and then a French car.   When a vacuum was created because Detroit figured it didn’t have to listen to the warnings, the little cars with good gas mileage and reliability, filled that vacuum.   There have even been rumors that General Motors might be taken over by a foreign automaker, but so far that’s just a rumor.
Think about some of this stuff, folks.  The world is going topsy-turvy, and we may not be prepared for it.
